At the IIChE Kochi Regional Centre, we believe that continuous learning is the cornerstone of professional growth. K. Unnikrishnan Memorial Lecture
This prestigious lecture series serves as a tribute to the late Sri. K. Unnikrishnan (1946–1993) was a visionary technocrat and one of the founding members of the IIChE Kochi Regional Centre. Each year, we invite distinguished speakers to share insights that honour his legacy and contribution to the field. This event is held annually on 14 January.
Chemical Engineers’ Meet (ChEM)
Our flagship annual gathering brings together the entire fraternity—from veteran industry leaders to student aspirants. The program features a vibrant mix of seminars, symposia, and student quizzes. A key highlight of ChEM is the felicitation of eminent personalities in the field, recognising their lifetime contributions to chemical engineering.
Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP)
As one of our most prestigious initiatives, the DLP is held once or twice a year. We invite renowned experts and thought leaders to deliver in-depth lectures on specialised topics, offering members a rare opportunity to gain expert-level insights into specific domains.

Monthly Technical Lectures

Industry Visits
Engineering is best learned on the ground. Beyond the classroom and conference hall, we organise regular industrial visits for both professional and student members. These visits provide critical practical exposure to real-world plant operations and safety protocols.
